On Christmas Day 1965 in Campo Grande, Zahran
Group opened the first television broadcaster in Mato Grosso do Sul.
When TV Morena, channel 6, went on the air it connected Mato Grosso
to the world broadcasting news and events.
In 1967 the Group broadcast images from TV Centro América,
channel 4, in Cuiabá, marking the beginning of Rede Matogrossense
de Television (Mato Grosso Television Network) Composed of:

Rede Matogrossense de Televisão, concerned with better informing,
educating and entertaining its viewers, became an affiliate of Rede
Globo de Televisão.
Currently, its programming includes regional variety, farming, sports
and news programs.
In 1997, it began transmitting via satellite to almost 200 cities
across Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. Its high-technology equipment
has enabled it to gain a regional audience participation of 75%.
A studio in Brasília transmits images directly to the News
Departments, linking Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul to the Federal
capital. VCA, a commercial and corporate video producer, is also
part of the Zahran Group communications system.
